Flight Director app for iPhone and iPad

Description


Flight Director shows the present attitude and warns in the case of exceeding values. Flight Director is based on a complex calculation using the gyro, accelerometer and GPS data. In order to improve the results the app can be used with external GPS devices, such as Garmin GLO.
The display shows a command to steer for a normal attitude above a customer defined tolerance limit. Additionally a voice informs the pilot. You can choice between commands for direction or for commands indicating the necessary pilot stick ( or yoke) movement.
For navigational purpose the app offers you all nearby airports for selection. Once selected, the system shows you the direction to reach the destination.

Although Flight Director is not approved for use as primary or backup navigation in aircraft by the FAA the results are tested during several flights in various planes.
